Tesla recalls 1.8 million cars due to bonnet problems

Car manufacturer Tesla is recalling 1.8 million cars manufactured between 2020 and 2024. The problem is that the hoods can open while driving, which can obscure the driver's view and cause collisions in traffic.

According to the AP news agency, there are no reports of any accidents occurring due to the fault. However, the problem is more prevalent in China than in Europe and North America, although the reason for this difference is unclear.

It is not yet clear whether the problem affects Tesla cars in Finland. Swedish Yle has sought Tesla for a comment without success.

  • Model 3: model year 2021 to 2024
  • Model S: model year 2021 to 2024
  • Model X: model year 2021 to 2024
  • Model Y: model year 2021 to 2024
