Tesla and the union meet today for collective bargaining.
The car manufacturer will resume negotiations with the union today, Wednesday. This was announced by the union's contract secretary. "They are ready to meet with us now," he says.
Since Friday, around 130 employees at the car manufacturer's workshops have been on strike. The reason is that the company's Swedish subsidiary has not wanted to sign a collective agreement.
But on Tuesday morning, the union was informed that the car manufacturer is prepared to meet with the union and resume negotiations on collective agreements at the company's Swedish workshops.
- "We'll see what it leads to, but I think it's positive that we can meet and talk. I hope that it is possible to resolve this," says the agreement secretary.
Meanwhile, the strike continues. The planned blockade against receiving cars at 17 workshops around the country is being extended with another notice from the union.
- "We have discovered that we have missed a few that could be outsourced. So now it's four more workshops," says the agreement secretary.
