Description
This charging cable has a Type 2 female connector on one end of the cable and an open end on the other end. This cable can be used in fixed charging stations, especially those used for Teslas, but of course the connector also works well for other electric cars and charging hybrids with Type 2 sockets.
The charging connector is available in two different colors, standard blue like our other cables and with our new black glove.
This pigtail features Tesla Chargeport functionality, a seamlessly integrated waterproof button on the vehicle side of the Type 2 connector, allowing you to open the charge port, start and stop charging your Tesla or unlock the cable without having to enter the car first, or search for the car key. This is a unique feature not found on most other cables on the market!
The charging cables are assembled by hand in Belgium, which guarantees high quality and safety compared to many other Chinese cables. Cable is also CE approved and follows the IP-67 classification to be used in rainy weather. It is also on average 20% lighter compared to other cables cables from the Chinese market. All cables are quality assured and tested in the factory before they arrive at our warehouse, which is important to be able to guarantee the high quality and safety of this charging cable.
Of course, the cable release only works when the car's remote control is present! The cable is not unlocked when the car key is not nearby (same functionality as Tesla's Superchargers).
Note: You cannot connect a blue or red command plug to this pigtail and charge from a command socket. It can only be used in combination with a charging station!
Battery for the button to the charger is sold as a spare part and is not covered by warranty.
We don't use the typical Chinese cable, but a high quality European cable, which is 20% lighter and thinner while being more durable! The connectors have stainless contacts. The electronics used are CE approved.
Don't forget to choose the right length when you order, the cables are manufactured in the factory according to the length requested by the customer! Right of return does not apply!
When the charging point is on the other side of the car's charging socket (at the height of the socket on the car), you really need at least 4 meters to be safe.
