Roof trim with 3M tape designed to reduce cabin noise at higher speeds while providing a sleek and effective protection against stone chips along the edge of the glass roof. Regardless of the gap size between your glass roof and windshield, our roof trim with 3M tape fits perfectly to protect the window edges.

The rubber strip can be compared to neoprene, which is effective for absorbing noise and high-pitched sounds that can occur at higher speeds.

Installation:

Before installation, ensure the windows and edges are clean and dry (we recommend cleaning with rubbing alcohol) and that the temperature is at least 15°C. We also recommend using 3M primer, which you can find here.

Install the roof trim by carefully measuring and positioning it along the glass. Once you are satisfied with the placement and fitment, cut the trim to the correct length for your car (1.5 meters is enough and will leave some excess for the front edge of the windshield) and peel off the 3M backing to expose the adhesive. Keep the rubber strip in place on the glass and gently remove the protective film along the entire strip to reveal the tape. Press the trim firmly to activate the adhesive fully against the surface. Avoid water and rain for the first 72 hours while the adhesive cures.

Which cornice should I choose?

Our T-profile roof molding is available in two widths: 2.5 mm and 3 mm. The product description includes recommendations for which size fits each Tesla model, but if you want to be absolutely sure of the fit, you can order a sample of both sizes for only 29 SEK and test them directly on your Tesla.

For the Tesla Model Y (2021-2024), we also offer a specially adapted rounded roof molding. For the front edge of the roof, there are also roof moldings with 3M tape in widths of 14 mm and 19 mm.

Will installing moldings reduce the noise level?

The rubber strips for the roof and doors have several advantages. The material is comparable to neoprene and is useful for absorbing noise and reducing high-pitched whistling sounds that occur at higher speeds. In addition, the strips protect against dirt accumulation in the gaps, and the roof strip provides effective protection against stone chips at the edge of the glass roof.
