Roof Trim - T-Profile (Model S, 3, X & Y)

Roof molding with T-profile for Model Y, 3, S & X to reduce the noise level in the car at higher speeds while providing stylish and effective protection against stone chips at the edge of the glass roof. Which size should I choose?

All glass roofs are mounted differently from the factory, which means that the roof molding will not necessarily fit all roofs all around. However, one of the sizes usually fits the front edge of the cars according to our experience. Below are recommendations for what usually fits most cars. Keep in mind that your car may need a different size compared to our recommendations. It all depends on how your glass roof is mounted at the factory. For those who would like to try it first, we offer samples at a discounted price, the samples are about 10 cm long.

Model 3 lengths (3 mm recommended for 2021+ cars from the USA and 2.5 mm for previous model years and new cars from China):

1 meter = do you want to buy a larger roll and cut your own lengths? Buy by the meter and select the quantity to get the number of meters on the strip.

1.3 meters = for those who want to cover the front edge between the windshield and the glass roof (recommended).

4 meters = if you want to put the strip around the entire glass roof for maximum sound insulation against wind noise and protection against stone chips.

Model Y lengths (2.5 mm recommended):

1.3 meters = for those who want to cover the front edge between the windshield and the glass roof (recommended).

5.3 meters = for those who want to put the strip around the entire glass roof for maximum sound insulation against wind noise and protection against stone chips. However, keep in mind that the rear edge of the roof and the opening with the trunk lid can affect how the strip fits there. If you can't get the fit right at the back against the trunk lid, we recommend cutting off the strip at the edge of the long sides at the back where the trunk lid begins. Depending on how your glass roof is installed at the factory, the sides of the car can vary from car to car. Here it is not certain that the strip will fit all cars.

Model S lengths (2.5 mm recommended):

1.4 meters = for those who want to cover the front edge between the windshield and the glass roof (recommended).

5.8 meters = for those who want to put the strip around the entire glass roof for maximum sound insulation against wind noise and protection against stone chips. However, keep in mind the rear edge of the roof and the opening with the trunk lid can affect how the strip fits there. If you cannot get the fit at the back against the trunk lid, we recommend cutting off the strip at the edge of the long sides at the back where the trunk lid begins. Depending on how your glass roof is mounted at the factory, the sides of the car may vary from car to car. Here it is not certain that the strip will fit all cars.

Installation:

Install by carefully stretching the rubber strip and placing it around the glass roof above the windshield. We recommend that you use silicone spray to mount the strip correctly and straight into the gap around the glass roof. If you do not use silicone spray or similar, the strip will not look straight and nice and you will not get down far enough into the gap.

Each length is cut slightly longer than the length you have chosen, this so that you can cut and adjust the length of the roof strip yourself. Remember not to cut the roof strip immediately after mounting, but leave around 2-3 cm on each side. As the silicone spray dries, the molding will contract slightly and expand to lock into the gap (as long as the width is correct). After 2-3 days, you can lift the edges of the molding and trim off the excess, then push the molding back down.
