Programming smart garage doors

myQ

If applicable, Model X can intelligently connect to your myQ® smart garage.

myQ is a smart garage control system that works seamlessly with Model X and allows you to remotely monitor and control your garage door from your vehicle's touchscreen or a paired phone. This comes in handy if you forget to close the garage door, want to let loved ones in, or need to open and close it remotely (for example, when receiving a package). By linking myQ with Model X, the garage door can automatically open or close as needed.

Follow these steps to configure myQ on your vehicle:

  • The garage door must be compatible with myQ. Please use the myQ compatibility tool (https://www.myq.com/app/myq-compatibility) to determine that.
  • Check that the garage is compatible with Wi-Fi. myQ uses Wi-Fi to communicate with your smartphone and the vehicle. Some garages have a Wi-Fi or myQ symbol on the hub. The garage must have a strong Wi-Fi signal for you to control and monitor the garage from the vehicle.

Note: If your garage is not compatible, you can purchase an external myQ hub to use this feature.

  • Download the myQ app from your phone's app store. Use the app to enter account information and pair the garage with your phone. You must have a paid subscription to use myQ. It can be purchased in the app.
  • Please check that the vehicle has the latest software version available and that it has Wi-Fi or LTE connectivity.
  • Tap the garage icon at the top of the touchscreen or go to Controls > Lock > myQ connected garage > Link account and follow the instructions to pair the garage with Model X. Once paired, you can monitor and control your garage from the touchscreen, where you can further customize myQ.

HomeLink

Programmera HomeLink®:

  • Park Model X in such a way that the front bumper is in front of the device you want to program.

Försiktig: The device may open or close during programming. Therefore, before programming, make sure that the device cannot hit people or objects.

  • Please make sure that the device remote control has a properly functioning battery. Tesla recommends replacing the battery in the device remote control before programming HomeLink.
  • Press the HomeLink icon at the top of the Controls screen.
  • Tryck på Skapa HomeLink.
  • Enter a name for the device on the HomeLink screen and then press Register or Add new HomeLink.
  • Select the mode you want to use (Standard, D mode or UR mode) and then press Set mode.
  • Press Start and follow the on-screen instructions.

Anm: If you see a screen called 'Learn the receiver' when programming the device, keep in mind that this is a time-critical step. After pressing the Learn/Program/Smart button on the device's remote, you only have about 30 seconds to get back to the vehicle, press Continue and then double-click on the learned HomeLink device's name. Consider having a person on hand to ensure that the step can be completed within 30 seconds.
