Tesla Cybertruck faces its big delivery launch in November
After a long wait, the time has finally come. Tesla reveals that the first deliveries of the Cybertruck are scheduled for November this year.
It has been a roller coaster ride since Tesla's futuristic pickup truck, the Cybertruck, was first unveiled to the public. Given the intense anticipation and four-year wait since its official unveiling, the news cycle surrounding this vehicle has been overwhelming. But the time has come, at least if you trust Tesla's official announcement.
Earlier this year, specifically in April, Elon Musk talked about the first copies of the Cybertruck reaching customers' hands in the third quarter, post-summer. This turned out to be over-optimistic.
According to Carscoops, the first deliveries are now scheduled to start on November 30. Cybertruck's production will take place at Tesla's Gigafactory in Texas, with a current production capacity of around 125,000 units annually. From 2025, Tesla aims to double this number to 250,000 Cybertrucks per year.
Diving deeper into the vehicle's specifications, the Cybertruck offers an innovative stainless steel shell that is meant to provide both durability and a distinctive aesthetic. There has also been talk of impressive towing capacity, adaptability and range, making it a serious contender in the electric vehicle segment for pickups.
Despite the imminent start of deliveries, there is still no official pricing or detailed specifications for the Cybertruck. With between one and two million reservations already in the book, everyone is eagerly waiting to see how many people will actually make the final purchase. Although Elon Musk made it clear in 2020 that the Cybertruck would not be offered in Europe, this position seems to remain unchanged. Europeans will instead have to settle for the Cyberquad, a four-wheeled mini-version with a top speed of 13 km/h and a weight capacity of 68 kg.
