Porsches elbil Taycan leder försäljningstillväxten med imponerande siffror

Porsche's electric car Taycan leads sales growth with impressive figures

In the first three quarters of the year, Porsche reported impressive growth, with a 9.6% increase in deliveries to customers, bringing the total number of vehicles sold to 242,722, according to a recent report from the company. At the same time, it could proudly present an improved profit margin.

One of the most prominent examples of Porsche's success is their electric model, the Taycan. This model showed an 11% increase in sales in the first nine months of the year, compared to the same period last year. With a total of 27 855 units sold, the Taycan now represents 11.5% of Porsche's total sales.

Lutz Meschke, one of the company's board members responsible for finance and IT, commented: "Taycan continues to be an incredible success for us. We had initially expected to sell around 20,000 units of Taycan each year. But we have already clearly exceeded that figure."

Meschke continued: "We were always confident that we would meet, if not exceed, our expectations. This, even though we encountered some supply chain challenges and variations in EV interest depending on the region."

Porsche's CEO, Oliver Blume, shared his insight: "Porsche has certainly benefited from being strongly positioned in key markets around the world. We have particularly noticed increased growth in Europe and North America, but also in other emerging market regions. Unlike some specialized luxury brands, we have also been fortunate to benefit from economies of scale within Porsche and the economic advantages of being part of the Volkswagen Group," Blume concluded.
