New details have emerged about the upcoming update of the Tesla Model Y, which now goes under the project name Juniper. About a year ago, it was reported about the upgrade of the Tesla Model 3, which received, among other things, a new front, improved sound insulation and higher quality of the interior. Now it's time for the Model Y to undergo a similar transformation.

The Model 3 project was named Highland, while the upgrade of the Model Y is called Juniper. There are rumors of a refined front end and a light ramp between the taillights, something confirmed by spy shots. We can also expect the new Model Y to get double-laminated windows for better sound insulation, as well as an interior that matches the updated interior of the Model 3 .

A screen for rear seat passengers is also expected, but the big news is the possibility of a version with a significantly longer range than before. According to sources like Autoplus and Autoevolution, the new Model Y could be offered with a 95 kWh battery, which would give an official range of around 75 miles in a two-wheel drive version and just over 70 miles in an all-wheel drive variant.
