We would like to inform you that an update via OTA and control of settings via wi-fi is available for your ALC (Adaptive Light Control) if its serial number is newer than s/n 22.45.120. Please note that this feature is currently considered BETA, so any changes to settings and updates are at your own risk unless you have received specific information from us to update your device.

If your ALC is too old to be updated, you can easily order a new device with wifi/bluetooth here - https://oppgrader.alcd.no. You will need to have the serial number of your old one available when ordering a new ALC with wifi/bluetooth.

The latest firmware version as of April 12, 2024 is 24.8.6, which includes minor bug fixes as well as support for adaptive high beams.

To make it easier for you to check settings and make any changes, newer ALC devices have built-in wifi. This allows you to connect to a computer, for example, to make the desired adjustments.

Please note that although these ALCs can be updated OTA via wifi, we recommend that you contact us first to ensure that you are not updating to a version that is not compatible with your car.

To activate wifi on your ALC of the new version, follow these simple steps: turn off all lights on the car and flash the light horn three times. Wifi will then be activated on your ALC for one minute. If this doesn't work, disconnect the original lighter connection from the Y-split to the ALC, then leave the ALC unpowered for 10 seconds before reconnecting.

For detailed instructions on updating ALC devices with firmware higher than 22.22.22 or version 22.22.22, please refer to the respective manual.

If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to contact us at any time.
