Description

Do you also experience annoying road noise and wind noise in your Tesla at higher speeds? Then you are not alone!

In recent years, we have worked actively to develop various solutions to reduce the noise level in the cars. Everything from door moldings to special rubber mats in foam-like material, but nothing is as effective as this solution where we take apart the parts of the car and isolate where the problem occurs.

We now have the opportunity to offer you market-leading sound insulation made of the same material that you find in, among other things, the Swedish sports car manufacturer Koenigsegg's cars!

Of course we send you our own instructions. But keep in mind that regardless of the year model of the car and regardless of the factory in which the car is manufactured, there are large variations between two seemingly equivalent cars. The instructions are general as all cars are different and specific instructions may not apply to your particular car. The instructions are an extension of what each part in the package should be placed and assembled. However, the instructions do not focus on which screw to unscrew to access the inside of the door, for example. If you do not feel comfortable with screwing and dismantling the car in parts for your own installation, we always recommend that you book assembly directly on the website here.

The sound insulation is offered in several package levels, depending on which car and year model you have, the cars are differently insulated from the factory. Our recommendation is the whole car+ package

The more soundproofing you use in the car, the better the end result will be.

We recommend that you also supplement with our assembly tool to make it easier to squeeze out the air and get the glue to stick properly (not mandatory but something that definitely makes the assembly easier).
The more careful you are in this process, the better soundproof it will be.

The silencer has a strong adhesive on the back, requires no primer or the like! However, it is important that the surface is clean. We usually recommend cleaning with T-red in a spray bottle and a cloth where you wipe the surface. As with assembly above, this step is very important! The cleaner, the better the glue will stick and the better the result will be.

Package 1 - Wheelhouse (6 sheets)

Our most popular solution, soundproofing for all the wheel arches, here it is important to focus on the damping of the "moving sheet". Which means the sheet metal that sounds hollow if you knock on it.

Of course it doesn't hurt to soundproof the other parts of the wheel arch as well, but the focus should be on the sheet metal that sounds more when you knock on it compared to the durable construction that sits further into the wheel arch (e.g. crash beams, etc.).

Assembly: Remove the tire + plastic and fabric in the wheel arch

Time required: Approx. 4 hours

Package 2 - Doors (6 + 4 sheets)

The doors are a solution where we remove the panels on the inside of the door, secure the mounting points on the panel and the door to be able to smoothly reassemble everything when we are done (important).

Here we insulate in several layers, the first part on the inside of the plate out towards the street 1/2 sheet on each door. Second part between the plate and the plastic on the car (1 sheet on each door) and the last part around and behind the speakers for insulation of them 1/2 sheet on each door.

Do you have sound insulation left and you feel satisfied with the insulation on the doors? Great, then we would recommend using it on any other part of the car!

OBS be careful with clips and especially cables when removing the inner door panel!

Assembly: Remove the panel from the door

Time required: Approximately 4 hours

Package 3 - Luggage (5 sheets)

If you experience a lot of noise from the luggage and at the same time would like to seal the roof panels with extra sound insulation, this is the perfect solution for you! Here we usually recommend 2 sheets for the roof's respective panels, then we have a full 4 sheets for the trunk, which in many cases is enough and is left over for other parts of the car!

Assembly: Assemble the roof panels + fabric and plastic parts in the trunk

Time required: Approximately 4 hours

Package 4 - Whole car (12 + 8 + 6 sheets)

A complete solution with sound insulation for the whole car + an extra sheet for those who want a little more material to work with during installation.

Time required: Approximately 12 hours

Package 5 - Whole car+ (12 + 8 + 6 sheets + other sound insulation)

Maximum sound insulation!
With a total of 15 sheets of sound insulation + our other sound insulation for each car, this solution is hard to beat! The perfect way to get a car as quiet as possible.

Soundproofing included for each car:

Model S: Door trim, headliner.

Model 3: Door trim, cornice.

Model X: Door trim, cornice.

Model Y: Door trim, cornice.

Time required: Approximately 15 hours

How much noise reduction can I expect?

The car won't be dead quiet, we can promise you that!

But with a complete package + our other sound insulation, you can expect somewhere between 3-6 dB depending on how careful you have been during installation with cleaning and with the squeezing out of air between the plate and the sound insulation. Expect variations depending on the rims and tires you use. The more thorough and the more air you squeeze out between the sheets and the plate, the better results you will achieve.
