The Continental VikingContact 8 is the new winter tire that takes performance to the next level, especially adapted for the tough Nordic winters. It offers a quieter and more comfortable ride while providing low rolling resistance for reduced energy consumption – something that is particularly beneficial for electric cars.

The new tire pattern is designed to quickly drain water and slush, which provides safe driving characteristics even on icy and snowy roads. The tire is equipped with 3D sipes and block edges that ensure good grip when braking and accelerating. A unique 3-layer sipe combines straight, zigzag and wave-shaped patterns that stabilize the tire and provide the highest possible grip on all winter surfaces.

With a new, flexible rubber compound that works optimally even at very low temperatures, rolling resistance is reduced and thus energy consumption. VikingContact 8 also significantly reduces tire noise, which provides a more pleasant driving experience, especially in electric cars where the sound of the engine is absent.
