Model Y vertical doors

The doors can only be opened upwards / closed downwards when they are in their outermost position, which corresponds to about 0.5 meters of open door. This is so that the door does not rub against the front fender at the wheel. Until the door is open in this extreme position, the other function of the door remains completely original and looks like any ordinary door.

If you are in a hurry or perhaps do not want to display your Lamborghini/Model X-like doors on your Model Y, you can choose to only open the doors in normal position. Then about 0.5 meters, it is only then that they must be lifted upwards if you need more space to get into the car.

Is it difficult to operate the doors after installation?
Basically, open your door as usual until it stops in a predetermined position (about 0.5 meters open) and then raise the door.
