Description
Good footwork for the driving school teacher.
Thanks to a thoughtful and well-functioning design, we can now offer dual commands for the Model Y.
Design
The Dual Command has been designed to meet the needs of a comfortable seating position as well as safe maneuvering. The Dual Command has a mechanical transmission to the car's pedals, allowing the student to immediately feel the teacher's instruction or intervention. The teacher's pedals do not move when the student brakes or accelerates.
Maintained resale value
The design makes the dual commands easy to dismantle when the car is sold. When the command is removed, there is almost no trace left in the car and it retains its resale value.
Advantages from a private point of view
For private use, the clutch and brake pedals can be easily removed. A patented quick release makes it very easy to remove them. The accelerator pedal is also easy to remove. It is secured by a wing nut which, without tools, can be removed in seconds.
Automatically changing cars
If, in a critical situation, the teacher has to stop the car, he does so by depressing the clutch and brake. In automatic cars, which have no clutch, it is almost impossible to stop the car by braking alone. This has been solved with the teacher's clutch pedal. When the teacher depresses the clutch pedal, the pupil's accelerator is lifted, which means that the pupil cannot accelerate while the teacher is braking.
