Description
Have you always dreamed of being able to open the doors upwards like on a Lamborghini?
Now there is the perfect solution for you who drive Model 3, by replacing the hinge and at the same time installing a gas spring, you can get the same functionality. Without breaking the warranty or cutting any cables in the car.
The doors can only be opened upwards / closed downwards when they are in their outermost position, which corresponds to about 0.5 meters of open door. This is so that the door does not rub against the front fender at the wheel. Until the door is open in this extreme position, the other function of the door remains completely original and looks like any ordinary door.
If you are in a hurry or perhaps do not want to display your Lamborghini/Model X-like doors on your Model 3, you can choose to only open the doors in normal position. Then about 0.5 meters, it is only then that they must be lifted upwards if you need more space to get into the car.
Is it difficult to operate the doors after installation?
Basically, open your door as usual until it stops in a predetermined position (about 0.5 meters open) and then raise the door. Each kit comes with a gas spring that takes most of the weight of the door, making it easy to raise the door. Your Model 3 will retain its factory look and feel while driving but the moment you stop and raise your doors you will experience a whole new level of attention that no other upgrade can give you.
Assembly time about 1-2 working days (easy but time consuming). Made to order and has a delivery time of about 4-6 weeks.
