Fitting mudguards

The mudguard kit is designed to provide extra protection against stones and small debris on the road that can easily wear out and damage your vehicle's bodywork and paintwork. If you frequently drive on roads where salt, sand or gravel is used to improve road conditions during the winter, it is recommended that you fit this kit to protect your vehicle.

Perform the following steps to install the mud flaps:

  • Clean the mounting area with alcohol and allow it to dry completely before mounting.
  • Set the air suspension to Extra high by navigating to Controls > Suspension > Extra High.
  • Turn the rectangular knob to the left as far as it will go to access the area where the assembly will take place.
  • Use a tool to carefully remove the pressure clamp or a screwdriver to remove the pressure clamps that attach the front wheel housing to the underside of the left sill. Dispose of the pressure clamps.

Caution: Dispose of the existing pressure clamps. Do not use the existing push clips to install the mudguard kit.

  • Maneuver the mudguard into place so that the rear location hook attaches to the underside of the wheel arch and align the mudguard so that the holes for the push clips are aligned.
  • Install the new push clip opened (with the plastic rivet extended) into the hole on the bottom of the sill, then push the plastic rivet in to close the push clip.

Note: Make sure you install the push clamp on the bottom of the threshold first.

  • Install the new push clamp opened (with the plastic rivet pulled out) into the hole on the bottom of the wheel housing, and then push the plastic rivet in to close the push clamp.
  • Perform this procedure again on the right side of the vehicle to install the right fender.
  • Reset the air suspension ground clearance setting to the desired height and align the rectangular knob.
