Fitting the mudguard
To fit the mudguard, perform the following steps:
- Clean the mounting area with rubbing alcohol and allow it to dry completely before mounting.
- Turn the knob to the left as far as possible to access the mounting area.
- Use a tool to carefully remove the pressure clamp or a screwdriver to remove the lower pressure clamps (x2) that hold the front wheel housing. Dispose of the pressure clamps.
Caution: Dispose of the existing pressure clamps. Do not use the existing push clips to install the mud flap kit.
- Maneuver the mud flap into place so that the tabs on the mud flap hook onto the back of the front bumper. Ensure that the mud flap is correctly aligned with the holes in the front wheel housing and the vehicle body.
- Install the new pressure clamp into the inner hole with the plastic rivet opened (the plastic rivet has been pulled out), and then push the plastic rivet in to close the pressure clamp.
Note: Make sure you install the inner pressure clamp first.
- Install the new pressure clamp into the outer hole with the opened (plastic rivet pulled out), and then push the plastic rivet in to close the pressure clamp.
- Perform this procedure again on the right side of the vehicle to install the right fender.
Note: This procedure and illustrations describe how to install the left splash guard. Instructions on how to install the right side are the same but mirrored.
