Turn vehicle power on and off

You can turn Model S on and off if it exhibits unusual behavior or if an indeterminate warning is displayed.

Anm: TryRestarting the touchscreen or dashboardbefore turning the vehicle off and on if the touchscreen is not responding or exhibiting unusual behavior.

1. Put in park mode.
2. On the touchscreen, press Controls > Security > Turn off the car.
3. Wait at least two minutes without doing anything to the vehicle. Do not open any doors, touch the brake pedal, touch screen, etc.
4. After two minutes, press the brake pedal or open the door to wake the vehicle.
