Tesla has now officially confirmed that their electric truck, the Tesla Semi, will soon be introduced to the European market. This news was confirmed through a job posting where the company is looking for a business developer to lead the upcoming market introduction. This role will involve establishing and maintaining customer relationships and planning for the launch of the Semi in Europe.
– This is an exciting opportunity. We are looking for an experienced leader who can take responsibility for business development ahead of the launch of Semi in Europe,” said Rebecca Johnson, Tesla recruiter, in a post on LinkedIn.
The business developer's long-term responsibility will be to customize the vehicle for the European market, develop the necessary charging infrastructure and identify key people for the further expansion of Tesla's heavy commercial business.
Elon Musk has earlier this year pointed out that it would be logical to produce the Tesla Semi in Europe, more specifically at Giga Berlin.
As part of the preparations for the launch, the Tesla Semi will also be showcased at Europe's largest transportation trade fair, IAA Transportation, held in Hannover in September.
