Our mud flaps protect your Model Y from road salt, asphalt chips, and other debris thrown up by the wheels. They blend seamlessly with the rest of the car and look like they came straight from the factory. The mud flaps are made of high-quality flexible ABS plastic with a matte black finish – a popular and in-demand accessory for your Tesla!

The matte black Model Y heavy-duty mud flaps are designed for tougher winter conditions. They are taller than our standard model, and the mounts are reinforced to withstand larger ice and snow build-ups inside the wheel wells. They are also more durable, which is ideal if you drive over high curbs where regular mud flaps might scrape the ground.

4 mud flaps (front right, front left, rear right, and rear left) and protective film to place underneath the mud flaps.

Installation:

Installation typically takes about 10 minutes per mud flap, even for someone with no prior car maintenance experience.

Protective Film (not necessary on Model Y)
When installing the protective film, make sure the paint around the wheel wells is clean!

We recommend cutting the film into four equal-length pieces, and each piece can then be divided in half widthwise. This means the included set of film is sufficient for the entire first year. We recommend replacing the protective film 1–2 times per year if you want to keep the paint under the mud flaps in perfect condition. You can find more protective film HERE.

Hold the mud flaps up against the car to identify how far the edge extends over the paint. The goal is to apply the protective film as close as possible to this edge. The film has a thin plastic layer on both sides. First, remove the protective layer covering the adhesive side, attach the film in the desired position, and then remove the top protective layer.

Front mud flaps:

Start by removing the two clips on the inside of the wheel well. Hold the mud flap against the car and wheel well, then insert the new clips included in the package.

Rear mud flaps:

For the rear mud flaps, there is a 10 mm screw underneath that needs to be removed in addition to the clips inside the wheel well. Once the clips and screw are removed, it’s time to mount the mud flaps.
