Sandblasted sills are a common issue on the Tesla Model 3, especially during winter. Our mud flaps effectively protect the car from road salt, gravel, asphalt chips, and dirt thrown up by the wheels. Installation:

Installation typically takes about 10 minutes per mud flap, even for those with no previous car experience.

Protective Film

Measure how much film you need — the included length is enough for all four mud flaps. Cut the film into four equal parts and then split each piece in half widthwise. This will make the film last for the entire first year. We recommend replacing the protective film 1–2 times per year, for example when changing tires, to keep the paint in top condition.

Hold the mud flap against the car to see how far the edge reaches onto the paint. Apply the protective film as close to that edge as possible — that’s where protection is most needed. The film has a thin protective layer on both sides. First remove the backing on the adhesive side and attach the film in place. Once it’s positioned correctly, peel off the outer protective layer.

Front Mud Flaps:

Remove the two clips on the inside of the wheel well. Hold the mud flap against the car and press in the new clips included in the package. At the top of each mud flap, there’s a small tab that should be folded in behind the metal edge of the wheel well.

Rear Mud Flaps:

For the rear mud flaps, in addition to the clips in the wheel well, there’s a 10 mm screw behind the wheel well underneath that needs to be removed during installation. Once the clips in the wheel well and the screw underneath are removed, it’s time to mount the mud flap. Hold it against the car and press in the new clips that come with the set. At the top of each mud flap, there’s a small tab that should be folded in behind the metal panel in the wheel well. Finally, reattach the 10 mm screw under the car, aligning the hole with the mud flap so the screw secures it firmly in place.
