You will be able to open and close the trunk via your key (if you have purchased a key from Tesla). It is also possible to open and close via the screen in the car or by pressing a button in the trunk (the original button that is there today).

Our electric trunk lids, trunks and other electrical components are developed and designed by our partner in Germany.

In contrast to other Chinese variants on the market, these are of higher quality with a higher resistance to water and salt, which is good in our Nordic climate. The heart of the system is an intelligent control unit that enables continuous monitoring of the vehicle status and central control of all parts. During the closing process, the door is first lowered and then gently pulled into the lock using the softclose mechanism, only then is the door secured by locking.

In addition, the control unit allows the door to only be opened when the car is stationary and in park position, this is also ensured by two locks that act as backup in case the electronic locking should fail. Then there are two separate mechanical locks that remain in place and ensure that the door does not open while driving.
