Adjust the backrest, seat cushion, lumbar and thigh support
The four buttons all have different functions, two of which are particularly well-known from before. The vertical button controls the recline of the backrest - push it backwards for a more relaxed ride, and forwards for a more upright position. To adjust the seat cushion, the long horizontal button is used. With it, you can both push the chair forward or backward to find the right distance to the pedals, angle the seat cushion for better support and adjust the height for an optimal driving position.
The round button controls the lumbar support, something that was also found in some previous Tesla models. It makes it possible to adjust the lumbar support so that the chair adapts to your back and thus contributes to reduced fatigue on longer journeys.
New button for thigh support
One of the most requested features among Tesla owners has become a reality! In the new Tesla Model Y Juniper Performance there is now a special button to adjust the thigh support. A detail that takes comfort to the next level, thanks to the built-in thigh support extension.
With the new button, you can extend the front part of the seat cushion, which provides extra support under the thigh. This is of course especially appreciated by taller drivers and passengers, who felt that the seat cushion did not provide enough support. By distributing the weight better, the load on the legs is reduced, which allows you to drive comfortably for many hours without fatigue. The button sits together with the other seat controls and makes it easy to adjust the thigh support continuously upwards or downwards. In the same way as other electrical adjustments, the thigh support setting is also saved in the car's memory function for the driver profile, so that each driver immediately gets their perfect position.
