New Tesla Model Y Performance - soon here with more power than ever

Tesla's popularModel Y-serieshave received a refreshment under throughJuniper. While several new versions have already been launched-such as Re-Wheel Drive and Long Range AWD-it is now time for the next big step: New Model Y Performance. This is for those who have been waiting for a Model Y with more power, sportier appearance and better road holding!

Exterior Model Y Performance

Recently, a prototype of new Model y performance was captured during tests on legendary Nürburgring. It showed clear differences compared to the standard models. Mainly in the form of larger wheels, a lower choral height and a more aggressive overall impression.

According to reports, the new model has 21-inch rims, probably with a so-called "staggered setup", where the rear tires are wider than the front tires. The spoiler on the tailgate is extended and is reminiscent of the one on previous performance versions, which reinforces the car's sporty character.

Performance and Range Model Y Performance

With performance in focus, a two -engine four -wheel drive is expected with about 510 horsepower, which means that the car can reach from 0-100 km/h in around 3.2 seconds. It is an improvement compared to previous Model Y Performance, which was around 3.5 seconds. The battery is expected to be Tesla's 79 kWh package, which should give a range of just under 470 km (EPA).

In addition to the raw performance, Tesla is expected to include an adaptive chassis, like that inModel 3 Performance, where the driver can switch between different driving modes as standard, sports and track. Red brake calipers and sports chairs with extra side support also belong to the improvements.

Launch and Price Model Y Performance

Although Tesla has not yet given an exact launch date, the production of Model Y Performance is expected to start towards the end of 2025. The price tag is believed to land around $ 55,000, which corresponds to approximately SEK 600,000 before any incentives or taxes.
