Make a subtle difference on the exterior of your Model X with our vinyl door handles. Stand out with carbon fiber, or mix and match with your car color. This is a 4-pack, one for each handle.

Like everything we sell, anyone can install these. In fact, they take less than a minute per handle and are completely tool-free! Just make sure the handle is clean, apply the vinyl piece and remove the transparent foil that helps move the vinyl from the sheet to the handle - done!

The Model X handles are fairly flat (i.e. the edges are not very rounded), so when mounted correctly, almost no chrome will be visible; our decals "turn the corner" at the end of each handle, ensuring a consistent look even when the doors are open.

Installation
Choose a day when it's not too hot or too cold (aim for around 15-20 degrees) and use the wipes to clean the handles, then try to get yourself level with the handles (make sure the key is out of reach to prevent the door from opening).

Since the two handles on each side visually form a "long handle", it is important to get both decals level and the same on both handles. Start with the front door (at the pointed end) and begin applying it carefully, so that both the top and bottom surfaces look even. When you're happy, use the scraper provided to press firmly. Now carefully remove the transparent film, then open the door to turn the vinyl around the end of the handle. Using only your thumb, first press along the corner and then roll the vinyl around the corner so that there are no bubbles. Repeat the same for all handles and you're done!

The colors that can be chosen from are the closest to the color that 3M makes, but unfortunately it is not a perfect match, the difficult thing is to capture the depth of the vinyl in the pictures which depends a lot on light and angle.
