Description

Mounting loops for installation on the seat frame to make it easier to install, for example, a child car seat. Anchoring in the loops also makes it possible to secure other important and fragile items in the car. Perfect when the car lacks anchoring points.

60 & 100 mm have been tested in cooperation with VTI, the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute, to ensure correct and safe installation of rear-facing child seats in cars.

Which size your car requires depends on the vehicle and whether the loops are to be mounted in the front or rear seat:

Installation in front mounting points (most common): 60 mm
Installation in both front & rear mounting points (works in most cars): 90 mm
Installation in rear mounting points (most common): 100 mm

The mounting loops are available in three different sizes: 60 mm, 90 mm, and 100 mm. Check the distance to the front or rear bolts in the seat to determine which size fits your car. If the distance is shorter than 60 mm, you should choose the 60 mm size for better strength compared to 90 or 100 mm.

The 60 & 100 mm sizes are slightly angled upwards to facilitate mounting of straps. The 90 mm size is completely flat, which allows the seat rails in most cars to slide freely back and forth. With the 60 or 100 mm sizes, they may need to be slightly bent to ensure free movement of the seat.

2 mounting loops in the selected size.

Installation:

Unscrew the bolt in the seat floor rails, place the mounting loop in the rail, and screw the bolt back in. The mounting bolts should be retightened after a short period of driving to ensure the durability of the seat and the mounting loops.

What does “Tested in consultation with VTI” mean?

In consultation with VTI, the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute, we can confirm that the child seat anchors comfortably withstand the necessary forces to secure rear-facing child seats in a car. Comparisons have been made between the child seat anchors and other load anchors that VTI has used in child seat tests, showing that the strength of the child seat anchors passes the tensile tests with a wide safety margin.
