New Tesla Model Y Update: Improved Design and Increased Range

Ny Uppdatering av Tesla Model Y: Förbättrad Design och Ökad Räckvidd

New information has emerged about the upcoming update to the Tesla Model Y, which now goes by the project name Juniper. About a year ago, it was reported about the upgrade of the Tesla Model 3. The model received, among other things, a new front, improved sound insulation and higher quality of the interior. Now it's time for the Model Y to undergo a similar transformation.

The Model 3 project was named Highland, while the Model Y upgrade is called Juniper. There are rumors of a refined front and a light ramp between the rear lights, something confirmed by spy photos. We can also expect the new Model Y to get double-laminated windows for better sound insulation. In addition to this, also an interior that matches the updated interior of the Model 3.

A screen for the rear seat passengers is also expected. However, the big news is the possibility of a version with significantly longer range than before. According to sources such as Autoplus and Autoevolution, the new Model Y may be offered with a 95 kWh battery, which would give an official range of around 75 miles in a two-wheel drive version and just over 70 miles in a four-wheel drive variant.
