Restarting the touchscreen

You can restart the touchscreen if it is not responding or exhibiting unusual behavior.

Varning: Restart the touchscreen only when the car has stopped and is in parking mode. Car status display, safety alerts, rear view camera, etc. are not visible during restart.

1. Put in parking mode.
2. Hold down both scroll buttons on the steering wheel until the touchscreen turns black.
3. Wait about 30 seconds for the touchscreen to restart. If the touchscreen is still not responding or exhibiting unusual behavior after a few minutes, try turning the vehicle power off and on (if possible). See Turn vehicle power on and off.

Note: Pressing the scroll buttons will only restart the touch screen. It does not restart any other vehicle component and does not turn Model Y off and on.
