Tesla skjuter upp lanseringen av den nya Model Y till 2025

Tesla postpones the launch of the new Model Y to 2025

The long-awaited updated version of the Tesla Model Y, Juniper, will not reach the market until next year, according to the company's latest statements. The launch, which has been eagerly awaited in the US, has been officially confirmed as not happening. Similar information has now also been reported from China, indicating a global delay.

Tesla enthusiasts have been looking forward to the Model Y undergoing the same type of upgrades that the Model 3 received in the fall of 2023. These improvements include a freshened up look, significantly improved suspension and soundproofing, as well as an all-new interior. Unfortunately, all indications are that these upgrades will have to wait a little longer than planned.

In the US, Tesla has taken the step of notifying its dealers via email that the new version of the Model Y will not be available in the US market this year. The message to dealers emphasizes the need to be transparent with this information, and points out that there will be no redesigned Model Y in the current year.

Although the new Model 3 was launched later in the US than in China and Europe, there have been hopes that the new Model Y could be launched in other regions during the year. However, these hopes have been dashed by recent reports from Chinese media, where it has emerged that Tesla has also told China Finance News that the new Model Y will not be launched in China either. If these reports are true, it probably means that Europe will not see the new car model this year either.
