Tesla Öppnar Egen Skadeverkstad i Sverige som Svar på IF Metalls Strejk

Tesla Opens Own Repair Shop in Sweden in Response to IF Metall Strikes

Tesla is planning to open its first in-house body shop in Sweden in response to the ongoing strike by IF Metall against the company. In the past, Tesla has used external body shops to repair damage to its cars. When the strike was extended in November to these workshops, in support of IF Metall's action over collective agreements, several Tesla-approved workshops across Sweden were affected.

This affected workshops such as Werksta and Holmgrens Bil as well as owners of Tesla cars who could not get their damaged vehicles repaired. As part of its pledge to support customers during the strike, Tesla has decided to establish its own repair shop.

The new facility will be opened in Huddinge, near Tesla's existing delivery center. The company is currently seeking seven new employees for the workshop, including roles such as painter, adjuster and sheet metal worker.

By opening this workshop, Tesla is navigating the challenges caused by IF Metall's strike action. This strike seems to have mainly affected innocent third parties such as other bodyshops, factory workers in Vetlanda and Tesla car owners.
