Tesla has launched updates to its latest software version, 2024.2.6, aimed at improving the experience for Tesla owners in cold weather. These updates introduce a new feature that gives drivers information on how long it will take for the car's battery to warm up for efficient fast charging via DC. In addition, an automatic defrost function for the charging port has been added, which is automatically activated when the driver uses the car's navigation to direct themselves to a charging station. Drivers will also be able to see a timer that estimates the time it will take before the car is ready to be fast-charged at a Supercharger station, according to reports from The Verge. Another significant improvement is that the estimates of the car's range now also take into account the age of the battery, which includes newer cars.
