How to Keep Your Tesla in Top Condition

Your Tesla's built-in superpowers don't need the same kind of care as a traditional car - it's like comparing a smartphone to an old push-button cell phone. Our Tesla- brains are always busy honing the maintenance tips to keep your car running longer, faster, and safer, while retaining its value.
Goodbye Oil Change, Hello Future! You can forget about that messy oil change and all those little extra checks like spark plugs and fuel filters. And guess what? Your brakes will thank you - they wear less thanks to a clever technology that recycles energy when you brake. Cool, right?
Take a look inside your digital treasure chest - the Owner's Manual! It's got all the latest tricks to keep your Tesla feeling great. It's your go-to for keeping your car in top condition.
Star Status Maintenance Schedule:
  • Filter out the bad: Your cabin air filter is your shield against pollen, dirt and other nasties. Replace it regularly to breathe clean air and keep your car fresh.

    • Model 3 and Y: Breathe fresh, replace every two years.
    • Model S and X: Every three years is the key to clean air - if yours is a 2012-2020 veteran, keep it at every two years.
    • HEPA filter: If your Tesla has this lung cleaner, give it new power every three years.

    • Tire Care: Those rubber cones under your car? Turn them over every 10,000 km or when the tread starts to look uneven. And don't forget to keep them balanced and aligned for the best driving experience.

    • The brake fluid: It needs love every four years. If you live in a hot and humid climate, or like to drive a little faster than everyone else, check it a little more often.

    • Cooling and comfort: To keep the AC from losing its coolness, replace the desiccant like this:

      • Model 3 and Y: Every four years (but for Model 3 pre-2021 without heat pump, every six years)
      • .
      • Model S and X: Feel the fresh air every three years, or if your faithful has been running since 2012-2020, every two years for S and every four years for X.
Winter Tip: If your Tesla spends a lot of time in the cold, give the brakes an extra round of love with cleaning and lubrication every year or every 20,000 km.
Remember, a little love for your Tesla will keep it taking care of you on the road, every day. Check out your owner's manual for the details - it's your Tesla bible!
